New Hyundai Santro to release by November 2018

The ionic hunchback Santro is all set to comeback to the country. All Santro lovers desperately waiting for the new generation small car, the wait to almost over. The car is said to give a stif competition to the Renault Kwid. The company will work on the complete model by changing the design and styling and will add a number of goodies to improve it’s comfort and safety quotient. The hatchback will also face a few mechanical changes.

The discontinuing of Santro in 2014 broke many hearts in the country. The car was released in the year 1998 had turned into an instant success for the south Korean car makers in India. The brand stopped the production in order to free up space for the production of new cars in 2014. The reintroduction of the Santro brand aims to make an investment of about Rs.6300 stores in India in the next three years. The funds are likely to be used for the development of new products and powertrains.

The key features of the car would be the fall boy design with larger window panels, steel wheels with full wheel cover and touchscreen infotainment system. According to the repertoire, the car will have two level powertrains, 0.8 liter, and 1.1-litre iRDE. The 1.1L churns out an output of 70bhp and a peak torque of 100Nm maximum. It has a 5-speed manual gearbox which is said to carry out the transmission duties. The car may make is a debut with a new automated manual transmission (AMT).

The new Hyundai Santro 2018 will fit between the price of the Eon and the grand i10. The arrivals of the cars such as the Renault Kwid, the competition in the small car segment geta intense. One of the key factors that may help the new Hyundai hatchback to withstand the new-age would be aggressive pricing of the car. The pricing of the 2018 Hyundai Santro in the country is likely to begin from Rs.4lakh and if likely to go all the way up to 6lakh for the top end model.

The 2018 Hyundai Santro is likely to be launched before the month of October this year.
