Land Rovers are truly capable off the road but what if you want to compete them against some well-established performance SUVs in town? The British marque is finally back with the updated one and it will be available here as a CBU unit with a price tag of Rs.2.19 Crores (ex-showroom, pan India).

Exterior & Design

Dimension-wise, the SUV remains similar to the regular model, but to differentiate, the British brand does offer some revisions including a new bumper, Pixel LED headlights, black roof and multiple SVR badging.

Interior

Inside the cabin, it features a well laid out dashboard with SVR Performance seats, Windsor leather upholstery, ambient lighting, four-zone climate control, fully digital instrument cluster, 825 Watt 19-speaker Meridian surround sound system and SVR leather steering among others.

For occupants safety, Land Rover will offer a plethora of safety aids on the new Range Rover Sport SVR. To name a few, the list includes multiple airbags, all-terrain progress control, low traction launch, electric steering, 360-degree camera and emergency brake assist.

Engine & Performance

Under the hood, the new Range Rover Sport SVR comes with an undisputed 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine. Putting it in numbers, the overall output from this explosive setup stands at 575HP and 700Nm of peak torque while being mated to an 8-speed torque converter alongside a four-wheel-drive powertrain as standard.

Performance-wise, it can clock a triple-digit speed in just 4.5 seconds making it the quickest Land Rover ever manufactured. The top speed from the same is rated at 280kmph.

Power concentrated in the right direction can do wonders. Therefore, the mechanical updates including a tweaked chassis on the new performance SUV are there to make it more agile and sharp in terms of handling. To be precise, the comfort and offroad capability even after such updates remain as it is.
