New Tata Tigor EV

Exterior

Just like the standard Tigor, the electric version comes with a similar design language. Interestingly, just to differentiate, Tata has decided to offer blue highlights, 15-inch alloy wheels and a packed chrome black covering on the grille area. According to the brand, the Tigor EV will also feature LED headlights, foglamps and electrically adjustable ORVMs making it a feature-loaded electric sedan.

Interior & Safety

Enter the cabin and the entire dashboard layout will continue to remind of the ICE-powered Tigor. The blue highlights will continue to differentiate it on the inside with several crucial features such as a multi-functional steering wheel, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, connected car tech, automatic climate control and push-button stop-start etc to name a few.

Tata Motors has lately been focusing on safety and making India proud at global crash tests. In terms of safety, the Tigor EV comes with dual airbags, corner stability control, ABS with EBD and hill start & descent assistance,

Charging

Worried about charging? Well, you don’t have to. As claimed by the brand, the all-new Tata Tigor EV can juice up from 0-80 per cent in just 8.5 hours while using the 15 A charger. Surprisingly, a fast charger can do a similar task in just 60 minutes.

Rivalry and Other Details

We expect this new electric sedan to be the most affordable EV available in India. Currently, there are no direct rivals to the all-new Tigor EV and therefore, right now, it sits in a sweet spot. As announced by Tata Motors, the upcoming electric sedan will roll on 31st August with bookings starting with immediate effect against a token amount of Rs.21,000.
