As per latest news, the new upcoming BS-VI Benelli Imperial 400 will use the 374cc air-cooled single-cylinder fuel-injected engine. As per the reports from Benelli India, Imperial 400 will be launched as a direct competitor of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Java in October 2019 priced at 1.69 lakhs (ex-showroom). According to a report on the web, the arrival of the BSVI compliant Imperial 400 can be priced at a healthy premium compared to its BSIV counterpart which will be Rs. 40,000 more than the BSIV model. Generally, the value is around Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 10,000 but the company however claims that it will increase the price to four times the value. A few months ago, the Imperial 400 first noticed an increase in prices. The report said the upper USD exchange rate was one of the upgrades to the BSVI emission standard, as well as an explanation for the price increase.

The BSVI Benelli Imperial 400 will be released in the coming months, the company announced. The Imperial 400 already uses a fuel-injected engine, as the 374cc air-cooled single-cylinder unit develops a maximum power of 20.7bhp and peak torque of 29Nm. The Italian manufacturer makes slight modifications as the engine already has fuel injection system technology, and therefore tremendous converter and O2 sensor additions are possible. We also expect a small change in power output and torque statistics in the upcoming vehicle. But reports say that no mechanical changes are expected in the BSVI Benelli Imperial 400.
The retro-style cruiser will be introduced during this time in the new Blue Metallic Shade. Worldwide, the Japanese manufacturer sells the Bolt in standard and R spec variants. Built on a double chassis, it has 41mm telescopic front forks and suspended rear dual shock absorbers. It uses single-disc brakes at both ends for stopping purposes and is, therefore, standard ABS in both variants.

For the price, the Bolt R Quality variant of Wire-Spoke Wheels in the Black Metallic Paint Scheme is available at JPY 9,79,000 (Rs. 6.94 lakh), Yamaha Bolt R with the new Royal Blue Metallic Colour which is priced at about Rs. 7.26 lakh. Thus thee Yamaha Bolt will offer a tough competition to upgraded Benelli Imperial 400.
