Entry-level variants make expensive cars a lot more accessible. For instance, just take the Toyota Fortuner. Its entry-level variant is currently priced at Rs.30.34 Lakhs while the top-end trim of the same is retailed at Rs.38.30 Lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). To be precise, that’s a lot of difference.
Sadly, Fortuner’s prime rival, the Ford Endeavour, will no longer get the entry-level Titanium variant. The brand has discontinued it, cementing Titanium Plus 4X2 AT as the new base variant at Rs.33.80 Lakhs.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Ford reshuffles the entire Endeavour lineup while discontinuing the entry-level variant.
- The updated range starts at Rs.33.80 Lakhs with Titanium+ as the new base variant.
- It will continue to feature a 170HP, 2.0-litre four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine.
Ford Endeavour (Rejigged lineup)
The new base variant of the updated Endeavour range is fully loaded with features. To name a few, it gets a panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, ambient lighting, electrically foldable third row, knee airbags, front parking sensors, automatic parking and auto-dimming IRVM.
Earlier, this same Titanium Plus used to be the top-end variant based upon which the Endeavour Sport was introduced. When compared to the discontinued Titanium variant, the new base model is Rs.3.81 Lakh costlier.
Under the hood, a sole 2.0-litre four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel motor churning out a massive 170HP and 420Nm of peak torque is there to power the entire range. A 10-speed automatic gearbox is standard across all the variants.

In India, Ford Endeavour competes against some well known full-size SUVs such as Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra Alturas G4 and MG Gloster to name a few. Want to learn more about the all-new Gloster? Take a look at it down below.
MG Gloster

MG introduced Gloster as the country’s first autonomous (Level 1) SUV to claim the segment throne. Well, that was quite difficult because of the robust nature of Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. To be very frank, Gloster is more of a family SUV than a capable off-roader. Powered by a 2.0-litre turbo as well as twin-turbocharged motors, the power output from the SUV ranges between 160BHP to 212BHP. Coming to the features, it sports a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, three-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, air purifier and ventilated seats among others.
