- Piaggio India has recently started the bookings for Aprilia SXR 160.
- The company will launch the 160cc scooter by the first quarter of 2021.

Aprilia SXR 160 was first showcased at the Auto Expo this year. Meanwhile, now Piaggio India has recently started the bookings for the upcoming Aprilia SXR 160 and the company will launch the same very soon.
Design-wise, the all-new Aprilia SXR 160 looks muscular with twin-pod LED headlamps. Meanwhile, the feature list includes a sleek taillight, charging port, tall windscreen, fully digital instrument cluster and alloy wheels. Further, Aprilia SXR 160 will come with four color options including – Matte Black, Matte Blue, Glossy White and Glossy Red.
Mechanically, it comes with telescopic forks at the front and monoshock suspension setup at the rear end. However, unlike the SR 160, the upcoming 160cc scooter will ride on a 12-inch rear wheel at the rear.
Engine that powers the all-new Aprilia SXR 160 is a 160.03cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected, three-valve motor. It produces a maximum output of 10.84BHP @ 7,600RPM with a peak torque of 11.6Nm @ 6,000RPM. Meanwhile, this engine is very similar to what Aprilia offers on the SX 160.
However, Aprilia has already started the production of the SXR 160 at its facility in Baramati, Maharashtra. Meanwhile, being a premium maxi-scooter it has been designed in Italy itself. To book the all-new Aprilia SXR 160, customers can visit the company’s official website or any nearest dealership.
In India, Aprilia SXR 160 will compete against the likes of the Suzuki Burgman Street.
