The VW Group siblings were quite overshadowing the OG Porsche (even Porsche belongs to the same gang). We have already witnessed Urus doing a 0-100kmph sprint in just 3.6 seconds, making it even the fastest in this lot. Similarly, RS Q8 also holds the world record of being the fastest production SUV at the Nurburgring Nordschleife in 2019.

But wait, this new entrant from the Porsche known as Cayenne Turbo GT has snatched that record with a lap time of 7 minutes 38.9 seconds. That’s even faster than many other high-end sports cars.

Not kidding, but this Porsche does carry a sports car design language with several model-specific additions. It gets large air intakes for proper cooling and added aerodynamic efficiency.

The new Cayenne Turbo GT also gets 22-inch alloy wheels but again, the tyre profile at the front and the rear are different. The rubbers wrapped around these large alloys are Pirelli P Zero Corsa which are designed exclusively for this new performance SUV.

Changes outside are very mindful but they are there in the first place to enhance overall stability. Wide rear spoiler for added downforce and carbon fibre finishing are also there to save some extra weight.

Interior

The new Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT now gets a fully digital instrument cluster. For entertainment and other information related purposes users can anytime go through the latest PCM 6.0 sytem that with multiple modes of smartphone connectivity including Apple CarPlay as well as Android Auto.

A new steering wheel with a Sports Response button has been introduced for better handling and improved agility. Interestingly, the SUV can now seat up to 4 people with adjustable sport seats up front.

Engine & Performance

Wondering from where all this power is coming from? The brand’s trustworthy 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 motor is there to propel a massive 631HP and 849Nm of peak torque. Several upgrades like a revision to the intercooler, fuel injectors and crankshaft enhances the way it delivers power.

Coming to some serious stuff, this SUV can clock a triple-digit speed in just 3.3 seconds with top speed standing at 300kmph.

Looks like Porsche is taking revenge on its German sibling. Last year, Audi RS Q8 bagged this same record of being the fastest SUV at the Nurburgring. For now, it comes powered by a similarly displaced V8 motor that churns out 600HP and 800Nm of peak torque while delivering an undisputed performance. For now, it can do 0-100kmph in 3.8 seconds with a top speed ranging from 250kmph to 305kmph as per the requirement. For more details related to Audi RS Q8, click here.
