Many exciting products were showcased at the Auto Expo this year and Lexus RX was one of them. The Japanese automaker without any delay has launched the updated SUV in India and thankfully, in two different variants so as to cater to the needs of different customers. The price of the 2023 NX starts at Rs.95.80 Lakhs for the base variant and Rs.1.18 Crores (all-prices, ex-showroom, India) for the more power-packed model.

2023 Lexus RX: What’s new?
Exterior
The design of the 2023 RX is futuristic and it may take some time to grow in the eyes of the customers. To be precise, the SUV has gotten edgier than before, meaning the dimension of the same now stands at 4890mm in length, 1920mm in width and 1650mm in terms of height. Lexus even confirmed that the wheelbase now measures 2850mm in length which is around 60mm longer when compared to the outgoing model.
At the front, the SUV features a spindle design for the grille and the air intakes have increased massively in terms of size. Surely, it is going to give the SUV a better space for breathing and this way, the cooling could be proper for both the engine as well as the electric setup.
The side profile of the SUV features a set of massive 21-inch alloy wheels but customers get the option to customise the design of these wheels according to their taste.

Interior
It’s plusher and more feature-loaded than ever. For starters, the all-new Lexus RX comes with Tazuna, which focuses on pushing the driver’s concentration to the next level.
The features list is also longer than ever. Starting with a massive 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, fully digital instrument cluster, 21-speaker Mark Levinson surround sound system, three-zone climate control and ventilated seats, the SUV is loaded up to the brim for an unmatched experience.

Engine & Transmission
Lexus has rolled out two variants of RX in India where; the first one is RX350h. Currently, this variant uses a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that works with an electric motor to propel 250 horsepower and 242Nm. The boasting doesn’t stop here, as Lexus has confirmed that it will get a CVT gearbox and an all-wheel drive system making the SUV capable of clocking triple-digit speed in less than 8 seconds. The top speed of the same is rated at 200kmph.

Then, another variant – the RX500h F-Sport+- focuses more on the performance and driver’s experience. It currently has a 2.4-litre turbocharged engine and an electric motor that pushes out a combined output of 371 horsepower and 460Nm.
Available with an all-wheel drive system, the RX500h F-Sport+ can clock a triple-digit speed in just 6.2 seconds. The top speed of this variant is rated at 210kmph.
Rivals
The segment where Lexus RX belongs is already stuffed with a lot of capable SUVs such as the Mercedes-Benz GLE, Range Rover Velar, BMW X5 and Jaguar F-Pace.
