Honda

One after the other, automobile companies are coming out with their list of revised prices of their products. Latest to join this league is Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), which has announced the post-GST prices of its scooters and motorcycles.

Under the ongoing tax reform, the two-wheelers with engines below 350 cc are categorised under the tax regime of 28% due to GST which is 2% less from the previous outsource tax structure. This has resulted in a marginal reduction in their ex-showroom prices.

As for the Honda vehicles, Honda Activa 4G has received the lowest drop of ₹326 in the price, while the Honda Hornet 160 have attracted the maximum drop of ₹724.

But these price change due to GST may not affect much. Since the new ‘One nation, One tax policy has reduced the prices of the commodities while on the other, it has also led to an increase in the price of the linked services. Apparently on-road prices of the two-wheelers with engine below 350 cc are reduced but on the other hand there is hike in the insurance tax rates and RTO prices also.
