The French brand has ceased the production of its best seller and it’s obviously none other than the Renault Duster. So, just trying to survive in the Indian market, it has to go for an aggressive strategy. Now coming to the Triber, it has been a reason why Renault’s ship is still sailing smoothly in India. Well, that is also another reason why a limited edition of the same has finally made its debut with a price tag starting at Rs.7.24 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Purposely looking for a family car under a limited budget? The all-new Triber Limited Edition is not going to disappoint you for sure.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Renault Triber Limited Edition has made its Indian debut.
- Will come powered by the same 1.0-litre three-cylinder unit.
- Receives minor cosmetic and feature updates for the MY22.
Renault Triber Limited Edition
What’s new?
Mind you, there are several upgrades to celebrate 1 lakh sales in India and frankly speaking, all of them are worth it. On the cosmetic front, Triber limited edition is available with two dual-tone exterior shades including Cedar Brown and Moonlight Silver. Both of them gets a black coloured roof to enhance the overall stance. Also, the side profile now features 14-inch tyres by replacing the older ones.
Inside the cabin, the MPV feels more practical with a large 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Other crucial features such as an adjustable driver’s seat, four airbags and a reverse parking camera further improve the overall premium appeal.
Engine & Transmission
Renault’s potent 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine is said to be powering the limited edition too. For starters, it is a capable machine known for producing a decent 72PS and 96Nm of peak torque while serving the exact purpose.
Right now, it either comes mated to a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox as per the buyer’s choice.

Alternatives
In India, Renault Triber Limited Edition will compete against the likes of Datsun GO Plus. Planning to buy an affordable seven-seater MPV? Let’s check out the GO Plus before jumping to any conclusions.
Datsun GO+

GO Plus stacks up against the all-new Triber because both of them are typical seven-seat MPVs. Currently, the brand has decided to retail it against a price tag ranging between Rs.4.25 Lakhs to Rs.6.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) making it the most affordable in its segment.
Another interesting bit about the all-new GO Plus is that it receives power from a 67BHP, 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. Although, it isn’t the best in terms of performance but we doubt anybody would buy a seven-seat affordable MPV just for the sake of driving pleasure. Feature-wise, it is decently loaded with dual airbags, air conditioner, LED DRLs, central locking, ABS, CVT gearbox and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system depending upon the variant.
