What’s new?
Almost everything remains exactly the same apart from the recently introduced RXL(O) variant. As claimed by the brand, this new variant has been launched to offer some more styling and crucial elements such as new stickers on the door, wheel cap, power windows, Bluetooth connectivity and AUX port to name a few.
In terms of features, Kwid has been updated with a larger and more intuitive 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Several other features such as dual airbags, reverse parking camera, LED DRLs and auto-folding wing mirror is also a part of the equipment list.
Unlike the outgoing Kwid Climber, the updated one is available with two new dual-tone exterior shades, named – Ice Cool White and Metal Mustard. Also, Renault has also decided to retain the older colour schemes as well.
Engine & Performance
Powering the updated Kwid is the same old 0.8-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. Currently, it is tuned in such a way that it produces 53BHP and 72Nm. Meanwhile, the slightly powerful 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine is capable of churning out a decent 67BHP and 91Nm of peak torque.
For transmission duties, Renault has decided to offer a 5-speed manual or an automatic gearbox on the 2022 Kwid.
