Renault Kwid

The updated Kwid was launched recently and this time with dual airbags. As we know, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has recently announced that dual airbags are now mandatory on each and every car that will roll out from the showrooms and therefore, playing safe, Renault introduced it beforehand. Interestingly, several other updates for MY2021 were also introduced in the form of electric wing mirrors and day-night IRVM on the Climber edition.
Other features such as a multi-function steering wheel, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, USB fast charging ports and Andoird Auto and Apple CarPlay are also there depending upon the variant. On the outside, the 2021 Kwid also comes with LED DRLs and a split headlight setup as standard.
Engine
Under the hood, it is available with either a 0.8-litre or a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. The first unit available is said to produce 54HP and 72Nm while the latter one churns out a decent 67HP and 91Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties for both of them are handled by a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. However, for added convenience, buyers can also opt for an AMT gearbox which is available with only a 1.0-litre motor.
