If your expectations are too high, the updates are surely going to disappoint you. There are minor changes but from Renault’s point of view, they really make a big difference.

For MY2022, Kiger has been offered a new exterior shade called Metal Mustard. Since this one is a dual-tone colour, expect it to come paired with a Mystery Black Roof as standard. Looks like a lot of effort has been initiated to differentiate the turbo variants from the regular ones. As a result, a set of new 16-inch alloy wheels, chrome finishing on the tailgate and door panels with ‘Turbo’ badging have also made their debut.

The cabin now features a red accent on the dashboard with similar stitching on the seats. Thankfully, it does improve the sportiness and that’s why upcoming buyers are expected to accept this change gracefully. The most surprising update on the 2022 Kiger is the availability of an air ioniser across the entire range. Other than this, two modern features, including a wireless charger and cruise control will be sold as standard on the higher variants.

To recall, Renault celebrated ten years of its presence in India last year by introducing a feature-loaded RXT(O) variant. Back then, it was powered by a naturally aspirated engine. Surprisingly, this time, the same trim has made its debut with a turbocharged power unit.

The all-new Kiger has been priced at Rs.5.84 Lakh onwards (ex-showroom, Delhi). When compared to the outgoing model, this one is priced at a premium of Rs.39,000.
