Rolls Royce has recently revealed the second generation Ghost worldwide. However, with the wonderful response, the luxury car got, the British carmaker is back with a longer Rolls Royce Ghost. Rolls Royce calls this long-wheelbase (LWB) version of Ghost as the ‘Ghost Extended’. Meanwhile, Ghost Extended is longer by 170mm when compared to the standard Rolls Royce Ghost. This increment in length has resulted in increased legroom at the rear for rear passengers.

The rear seats on the all-new Rolls Royce Ghost Extended are called as the ‘Serenity Seats’ as it offers comfort similar to what we get in a private jet cabin. Meanwhile, the other cool feature on the Ghost Extended is the Champagne fridge that serves optimum temperature for both Vintage and Non-Vintage Champagnes.

However, other features such as the laser headlights with 600n range, helicopter view, active cruise control, collision warning, lane departure warning, Micro Environment Purification System (MEPS) and self-park remains exactly the same as the standard Rolls Royce Ghost.

The engine that powers the Ghost Extended is a 6.75L twin-turbo V12 engine. Coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission it produces 571PS of power and 850Nm of torque. The extended wheelbase variant of the Rolls Royce Ghost also comes with all-wheel drive and all-wheel steering drivetrain.

Rolls Royce has decided to start delivering the Ghost Extended from Q4 2020. However, the British company has priced the Ghost Extended at ₹7.95 Crores.

At the launch event Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars added, “New Ghost is the result of in-depth dialogue with Rolls-Royce’s diverse and global customer base. Many of them asked the marque to create a motor car that provides the indulgence of enhanced rear space within the interior suite with no compromise to driving dynamics. Ghost Extended answers this customer demand by creating a product that augments both their business and lifestyle requirements”.
