Globally, Kodiaq is available in three different trims, namely L&K, SportLine and RS. However, to keep the overall price in check, Skoda is expected to roll out the first two variants only.

Now, talking about the updates, the facelifted model will get a minor makeover at the front. Similarly, even the alloy wheels, wing mirrors, taillamps and rear profile are slightly tweaked to enhance the overall stance. Inside the cabin, the updated SUV now features a completely new layout. To be precise, it is now equipped with a twin-spoke steering wheel, fully digital driver’s display, 10-speaker Canton surround sound system and a 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Apart from this, Skoda will also introduce some modern aids, including massage and heated function on the front seats, wireless charging and a large panoramic sunroof depending upon the variant.

Engine

The Czech carmaker has already announced that it will stick to petrol-only models in India. As a result, the upcoming Kodiaq will now get a sole 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which is truly capable of churning out a massive 190HP and 320Nm while being paired to a 7-speed DSG transmission. Interestingly, it is even expected to get an all-wheel-drive system and for now, this is definitely a positive sign.

Alternatives

Recently, Volkswagen discontinued the Tiguan Allspace from its Indian lineup. Sadly, even Ford Endeavour is not a part of this rivalry anymore. Well, this way, the all-new Skoda Kodiaq is about to go head-on against the likes of capable full-size SUVs such as MG Gloster and Toyota Fortuner. Want to learn more about the Gloster? Let’s check out some crucial facts related to it down below.
