Skoda has revealed its first electric car globally. The car that will be launched is an SUV called Skoda Enyaq iV. Skoda is also planning to launch the Enyaq iV Founders Edition which will be a limited edition. Meanwhile, the company will only manufacture 1895 units of the Skoda Enyaq iV Founders Edition.

The Skoda Enyaq iV uses Volkswagen’s MEB platform. The MEB platform is exclusively used for the Electric Vehicles by the Volkswagen Group. The all-new Skoda Enyaq iV will come with the crystal face, front grille along with the backlit LED, full LED taillights and many similar features.

Likewise, it gets large wheels that varies from 18 to 21 inches for the rugged look of an SUV. The Skoda Enyaq iV is 4649 mm long, 1879 mm wide and the height remains to be 1616 mm. However, the wheelbase is 2765 mm long while the boot capacity stands to be a decent, 585 litres.

The screens on the dashboard of the Enyaq iV is the 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 5.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The company, however, offers ten theme package for the interior which will be available for all the variants.

The Skoda Enyaq iV can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 38 minutes with a DC charging point. Meanwhile, the electric vehicle takes around 6-8 hours for a full charge while charging with an AC charger. However, the Enyaq 80 comes with a 510 km range.

Skoda Enyaq iV will come with 5 different variants known as the Enyaq 50, 60, 80, 80x and vRS. The Enyaq 50, 60 and 80 will get the rear-wheel drive configuration while the other two will come with an all-wheel drive system. Enyaq iV vRS which will be a top-spec variant can do a 0-100 kmph in just 6.2 seconds.

The safety features on offer with the Skoda Enyaq iV are the 9-airbags, ABS with EBD, collision avoidance assist and parking sensors. Meanwhile, climate and cruise control also comes as standard.
