Skoda Kushaq and Slavia Elegance Edition Decoded
With a new Deep Black colour shade, both Kushaq and Slavia look impressive. Other changes in the form of a chrome grille, chrome finish on the lower end of doors and a similar treatment on the tailgate work in contrast with the all-black theme. The carmaker has also introduced new 16-inch alloy wheels on the Slavia, while it is the elder sibling – Kushaq that features a larger 17-inch set.
Inside the cabin, the Elegance Edition has received added features and some visual retouching. First thing first, the Kushaq and Slavia now get an electric adjustment for both the driver and co-passenger seats. Then, there are some add-ons, such as an illuminated footwell and a 6-speaker surround sound system with a subwoofer.
The visual touches that could be seen with bare eyes are the introduction of aluminium pedals, neck rest, cushions and seat belts with ‘Elegance’ inscribed on them, and lastly, even the steering wheel features the same. Interestingly, the Elegance Edition cars will also be featuring new floor mats making it a premium affair.
Both the Kushaq and Slavia Elegance Edition are powered by Volkswagen Group’s powerful 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor. Capable of churning out 150 horsepower and 250Nm of peak torque, this engine is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG gearbox in both models.
Price of the Skoda Slavia Elegance Edition starts at Rs.17.52 Lakh and goes all the way up to Rs.18.92 Lakhs. Similarly, the Kushaq Elegance Edition is priced between Rs.18.31 Lakhs to Rs.19.51 Lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).
