Skoda Karoq To Launch Again in India soonImage Source: Skoda Storyboard

According to the sources, Skoda is all set to return with the Karoq SUV for India. However, this time the Czech carmaker is expected to bring the mid-size SUV via the CKD route. Skoda launched the all-new Karoq in India last year with around 1000 units on offer. And with massive popularity for the Skoda Karoq, they managed to sell all the 1000 units in just one month. Further, at that time, the compact SUV reached the Indian shores via the CBU route. Well, we hope that the case will not remain the same this time.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Skoda to reintroduce the Skoda Karoq in India soon.
  • It will arrive in India via the CKD route and with a different price tag.
  • The SUV continues to share its MQB platform with Octavia and Kodiaq.

Skoda never compromises with the quality and Karoq was one of the finest examples of that. Meanwhile, all credit goes to the MQB platform it shares with other premium cars such as the Octavia and Kodiaq. Being a feature-loaded SUV, it comes with a pair of LED headlights with DRLs, dual-zone climate control, a power-adjustable driver’s seat and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Smartlink connectivity. Apart from this, this system is also compatible with Apple CarPlay as well as Android Auto.

Available with around six different color options to choose from including – Candy White, Quartz Grey, Brilliant Silver, Magic Black, Magnetic Brown and Lava Blue.

The engine that powers the Skoda Karoq is a 1.5L four-cylinder TSI petrol unit. This engine can churn out a massive 150BHP of power alongside a peak torque of 250Nm. However, it is only available with a 7-speed DSG transmission that allows it to go from 0-100kmph in just 9 seconds. Further, the top speed remains limited to 202kmph.

When launched again, Skoda Karoq will continue to rival the Volkswagen T-Roc, Jeep Compass and Hyundai Tucson. Skoda is currently planning to expand its portfolio in India under the ‘INDIA 2.0’ strategy. Apart from this, the all-new Kushaq is all set to launch by the end of this month.
