Skoda has recently launched the 2021 Skoda Superb in India with a price tag of Rs.31.99 Lakh onwards. Multiple features such as a 360-degree parking camera and voice commands are now a part of the facelifted Superb. The base variant that is the Sportline variant is priced at Rs.31.99 Lakh. Meanwhile, the top-spec L&K variant will be priced at a premium of Rs.34.99 Lakh.

Updates

Outside, the 2021 Skoda Superb now comes with a newly designed pair of headlamps with DRLs. Further, the headlamps now accompany the adaptive lighting system.

New features such as a Virtual Cockpit, 8-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, USB port (Type-C), 360-degree park assist, voice commands, two-spoke steering wheels, wireless charging pad, etc. among others are available on the 2021 Skoda Superb. Further, this Amundsen 8-inch infotainment system now supports navigation, Apple CarPlay as well as Android Auto.

Inside the cabin, the Sportline variant comes with Alacantara sport seats and a 3-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters. Meanwhile, the premium Laurin & Klement variant is available with a Stone Beige or Coffee Brown upholstery.

Engine

The engine that powers the 2021 Skoda Superb is a 2.0L turbocharged petrol unit. It produces a massive 187BHP of power and a peak torque of 320Nm. Meanwhile, this engine is only available with a 7-speed DSG transmission alongside a front-wheel drive powertrain.

Alternatives

Competing directly with the Skoda Rapid in India right now is the Toyota Camry Hybrid that is priced at Rs.39.41 Lakh onwards. Coming to the future plans, Skoda is all set to launch the mid-size SUV, Skoda Kushaq. Meanwhile, Skoda is also working on a mid-size sedan that will be replacing the Skoda Rapid.
