Looks like the V-Strom SX is a child to the extremely capable adventure tourer, V-Strom 650 XT and also the all-new Gixxer 250. So, in both ways, this new product is Suzuki by heart. The design is of course derived from the elder sibling and that’s clearly visible. Meanwhile, in terms of features and hardware, the Japanese brand has trusted the Gixxer 250 to keep a check on the price tag. Wondering how much this new bike costs? Suzuki has priced the all-new V-Strom SX at Rs.2.11 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Want to buy something that feels complete in every possible way out? Well, for more details, let’s take a look at the information down below

Styling & Features

Derived from the elder V-Strom, the SX version is styled in a similar manner. For example, the front portion of the bike still features an all-LED headlamp, windscreen, knuckle guards and a pointed beak for an aggressive design. There’s even a 12-litre fuel tank and split seats on the side profile that helps enhance the overall look. Worried about the rear profile? Well, even that remains quite similar because of the LED taillamp, long handlebar and dirt guard.

Feature-wise, Suzuki V-Strom SX is loaded enough to even embarrass some expensive bikes. The list obviously remains quite long but to give you an idea, it comes equipped with the brand’s Easy Start System, USB charging port, digital rider’s display and smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. Coming straight away to the last feature, it helps the rider with information such as missed calls, messages, speed limit (exceed) warning and turn-by-turn navigation as standard.

Engine

Suzuki’s potent 249cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine will be powering the all-new V-Strom SX. Tuned to produce 26.5PS of power and 22.2Nm of peak torque, this setup is similar to what we have already witnessed on the Gixxer 250 range.

For transmission duties, the Japanese brand has decided to deploy a 6-speed gearbox as standard.

Hardware

Wheels on the new V-Strom SX are decent in terms of size. The front one measures 19-inches while being wrapped with 100/90 tyres. Talking about the rear wheel, it is a 17-inch setup with 140/70 rubbers. Suzuki claims that the ground clearance of this new bike is good enough.

Suspension duties on the V-Strom SX are managed by a telescopic fork (front) and a mono-shock unit at the rear. To stop this powerful bike, Suzuki is also offering disc brakes on either end.

Alternatives

In India, the all-new Suzuki V-Storm SX is going to compete with KTM Adventure 250 and Benelli TRK 251. Are you someone planning to enter this segment? Let’s take a look at the updated Adventure 250 down below.
