Tata Altroz Racer: What to expect?

The carmaker has also updated the Altroz Racer in terms of design, and to begin with, the hatchback now features a combination of Red and Black shades along with twin white stripes running across. Even the interior features a similar update and gets a Granite Black theme with red elements in contrast. The alloy wheels offered are 16-inch and they are diamond cut units.
Tata Motors has also confirmed that the changes are not limited to the design. Instead, there are additional features like a 7-inch TFT driver’s display, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated seats, wireless charger, rear AC vents, voice-activated electric sunroof and projector headlamps, among others. There are also several RACER badging inside out.
Under the hood, Altroz Racer is expected to get the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine we saw on the i-Turbo variant. However, Tata Motors has tuned the motor to churn a little more, and the output is rated at 120 horsepower and 170Nm of peak torque. It will be paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox to extract the most out of the entire setup. This is the same gearbox found on the Nexon.
For safety, the sportier version of Altroz will get six airbags. The five-star safety rating of the Altroz further helps it be an exciting product. In India, it will compete Hyundai i20 N-Line.
