Until now, there was a massive difference between the XE and XM+ Plus trims. Thanks to the brand as they discontinued the XM variant a few months ago. Of course, it would have started making a difference and that’s why Tata Motors has finally launched the all-new Altroz XE+ with a price tag ranging between Rs.6.35 Lakhs to Rs.7.55 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

What’s new?

Tata has decided to retail the new Altroz XE+ for a premium of up to Rs.50,000 when compares to the entry-level XE variant. To begin with, this much money will bring a host of features including rear parking sensors, 4-inch driver’s display, 3.5-inch infotainment system and keyless entry to name a few. According to the sources, this new variant will also feature the ‘follow me home’ headlamps to enhance the overall practicality.

For occupants safety, even this variant is amply loaded with dual airbags, ABS, electronic brake distribution (EBD), ISOFIX child seat mounts and cornering stability control as standard.

Engine

Under the hood, Altroz XE+ will either use 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol or a 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine. As per the spec sheet, the first one is capable of churning out a decent 86PS and 113Nm while the latter one can produce a massive 90PS and 200Nm. Sadly, both of them are only available with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.
