Camo Edition was a perfect idea without a doubt but since we know that ‘Dark Edition is here to rule’, it somehow overshadowed the Camo version. A perfect example of how two best editions cannot survive simultaneously in the same market finally brings us to bid a heartfelt goodbye to the Tata Harrier Camo Edition. You heard that right, Tata Motors has removed it from their official website but no official announcement regarding the same has been made yet.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Tata Motors has decided to discontinue the Harrier Camo Edition.
  • It was available with the sole 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine.
  • Used to come with cosmetic upgrades and two additional packages.

Tata Harrier Camo Edition

Exterior and Design

It was based on the XT and XZ variants and because of that, Harrier Camo Edition was decently loaded with features such as projector LED headlamps. On the outside, it was finished with an exclusive Olive Green shade that attracted a lot of attention on the road. Interestingly, just to flaunt more it used to come with ‘Camo’ badging and blacked-out alloy wheels as standard.

Interior

The cabin of this limited edition SUV was similar to the other variant. However, just to differentiate, it was available with two additional packages including Camo Stealth and Camo Stealth Plus for a premium of Rs.26,999 onwards. Other than this, basic features such as an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, JBL surround sound system and a panoramic sunroof was also a part of the equipment list.

For occupants safety, Tata offered some best in segment features such as rear parking camera, ESC, ABS, cornering stability and up to 6 airbags across the entire range.

Engine

It was powered by the one and only 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that churns out a massive 170PS and 350Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties for this setup were managed by either a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox with power channelled to front wheels only.

Since there was no four-wheel-drive system available onboard, therefore, Tata offered three terrain response modes including:

  • Normal,
  • Wet and
  • Rough

Alternatives

Options are a must. This way, Tata Harrier goes head-on against rivals such as MG Hector, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks and Hyundai Creta. Want to learn more about its closest rival? Check out the updated Hector down below.
