After the introduction of the electric vehicles in India, the Government and EV companies are now trying to establish a better market for electric vehicles. Tata launched the Nexon EV earlier this year in January. Now, Tata Motors and Orix India are together working on the monthly subscription plan for the Nexon EV ZX+ variant only.

Tata Nexon EV at the time of launch came with a price tag of ₹13.99 lakhs onwards.

The monthly subscription plan right now is available in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Banglore, and Hyderabad. The monthly subscription plan powered by Tata Motors and Orix India is available for a tenure of 18 months, 2 years, and 3 years.

The monthly subscription plan can be availed against a security deposit of ₹50,000. Alongside, the security deposit the customer has to pay a monthly fee of ₹48,000 for 18 months, ₹45,000 for 2 years, and ₹42,000 for 3 years. The shortest tenure for the monthly subscription plan of the Nexon EV is 18 months while the total cost to remain around ₹8.64 lakhs. For a long term plan that is a 36 months long plan, the customer needs to bear a total cost of ₹15.12 lakhs which is a little higher than the overall cost of the Tata Nexon EV.

Orix India to also offer the customers of the monthly subscription plan with a Nexon EV and a 15-meter wiring charger. However, the customer can cover only a distance of 1500km/month. If the limit is exceeded the customer needs to pay an additional ₹7/km. The annual distance is limited to 18,000 km on the monthly subscription plan.

Orix India is also offering a 30% discount on self-drive cars.

The monthly subscription plan by the Tata Motors and Orix India has an 18 months lock-in period. So if the user wants to return the Tata Nexon EV before the completion of the tenure, the customer needs to pay the cancellation charges. The cancellation charge comprises of a month fee alongside with a 25% pending subscription fee until the completion of the remaining tenure.

Orix India will be providing a buying option with the Tata Nexon EV.

Tata Nexon EV is powered by a 30.2kWh battery which produces 129BHP of power and 245Nm of torque. A DC fast charger can charge the vehicle from 0-80% charge in an hour. While the 15A AC charger fully charges the Tata Nexon in 8-9 hours. The range according to ARAI in a full charge for the Tata Nexon EV stands at 312 km.
