A few months earlier Covid played a spoilsport when some of the players tested positive at the first half of Vivo IPL 2021. The board has finally decided to revive it, therefore, the second half of the same has already been started with a bang. If you remember Tata Safari is already a sponsor for this season. Well, to continue this sponsorship the Indian brand has finally introduced an all-new Gold Edition for Safari which will make its global debut in Dubai. The brand has currently priced it between Rs.21.89 Lakhs to Rs.23.18 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Tata Safari Gold Edition

Exterior

On the outside, the all-new Gold Edition comes with several panels finished in gold. The door handles, headlight surrounds, grille, roof rails and all the badges feature a similar treatment to enhance the overall stance.

There’s even a new set of large 18-inch alloy wheels finished in matte black. According to the brand, Tata Safari Gold Edition will only be available with two colour shades including ‘White Gold’ and ‘Black Gold’.

Interior

Hop inside the cabin and there you will be able to find that the layout of the Gold Edition sticks to the original one. Some minor updates in the form of new panels on the dashboard and gold lines running from one end to the other, undoubteldly feels premium. In terms of features, the special edition Tata Safari packs ventilated seats (front and middle row), air purifier, wireless smartphone charger and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to name a few.

Engine

Powering the Gold Edition is the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel engine. The overall output from this motor is rated at 170HP and 350Nm while being paired to either a 6-speed manual or a torque converter automatic gearbox.

Safari Gold Hit Challenge

The brand has also introduced a contest for batsmen. According to Tata, if any ball lands on the display car or the entire area that displays ‘Safari Gold’, then the carmaker will grant around Rs.2 Lakh to an NGO for Covid-19 relief.

Initially, MG Hector Plus was only available with a 6-seater layout. However, with the introduction of a bench seat, it is now also available with a 7-seat layout as well.
