Tata Motors has already captured over 80% market share in the electric four-wheeler market. The home brand has managed to do so in India just by understanding the market conditions and demands of the customers. A great example of what we just mentioned is the all-new Tiago.ev. The car just made its way to the showrooms and being an affordable electric hatchback, it has managed to receive over 10,000 bookings on day one making this launch a grand success.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Tata Motors is celebrating 10,000 bookings for the Tiago.ev.
  • Introductory price will stay for the next 10,000 units as well.
  • The new electric hatchback is still priced at Rs.8.49 Lakhs.

The brand’s latest entrant, Tiago.ev, is a result of the non-availability of affordable electric vehicles in the Indian market. The carmaker from the beginning has tried to resolve this issue and to carry on this legacy they have introduced Tiago.ev while managing to bag over 10,000 bookings on the first day itself.

Keeping the customer’s interest in mind, Tata Motors has also decided to extend the introductory price offer for another 10,000 units. That means apart from the first 10,000 customers, another 10,000 bookings will also enjoy the same privilege. The homegrown brand has even confirmed that the bookings can be placed against a token amount of Rs.21,000 at any authorised dealership. However, to make this task a little easier, they have introduced a similar portal on their website as well.

Wondering when the deliveries are about to begin? Well, it entirely depends on the time, date, variant and colour picked at the time of booking. The personalised experience may take a little while but the brand has confirmed that they are working on the supply chain issues to deliver the hatchback to the respective customer as soon as possible.

While addressing the media, Mr Shailesh Chandra, MD, Tata Motors Electric Mobility Ltd said, “We are delighted with the overwhelming response to the Tiago.ev and thank our customers for embarking on the EV journey. To acknowledge the passion to go EV and to firmly support the mass adoption of EVs we have decided to extend the introductory pricing to an additional 10,000 customers.
