Tata Motors on July 28, appointed Theirry Bolloré as the CEO of their subsidiary venture Jaguar-Land Rover. The CEO replaced Prof. Sir Ralf Speth who now turns to be the Non-Executive Chairman of Jaguar-Land Rover.
Mr. Bolloré, an MBA from the French Paris Dauphine University worked as a Chief Executive Officer for the Renault Group earlier. Holding a vast experience related to the automotive sector he was a part of Michelin and Faurecia, an automotive part manufacturer from China.
Adding to it, N.Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons said, “I am delighted to welcome Thierry to Jaguar Land Rover. An established global business leader with a proven track record of implementing complex transformations, Thierry will bring a wealth of experience to one of the most revered positions in the industry. I want to thank Ralf for a decade of outstanding vision and leadership for Jaguar Land Rover and welcome him to his new Non-Executive position in addition to his existing role on the board of Tata Sons.”
A hike of around 4.85% in the shares of Tata Motors was witnessed after the appointment.
In the time of adversity, JLR aims at altering the current situation under the expertise of the new CEO. Mr.Bolloré to hold the accountability from September 10, 2020.
