The Indian brand introduced the updated Swift this year with a price starting at Rs.5.73 Lakhs. Since the day of its launch, the carmaker has revised the price list multiple times ultimately, resulting in a new price tag of Rs.5.81 Lakhs onwards (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). 2021 Maruti Suzuki Swift
Talking about the new design language, it does feel sportier with a mesh grille, LED projector headlamps, dual-tone alloy wheels and a revised rear section. Multiple exterior shades including Metallic Magma Grey, Solid Fire Red, Pearl Metallic Midnight Blue, Metallic Silky Silver, Pearl Metallic Lucent Orange and Pearl Arctic White are there to offer choices to the customer. Interestingly, three dual-tone shades have been added to offer even more options. To be precise, the list consists of:
- Pearl Metallic Midnight Blue with Pearl Arctic White Roof,
- Solid Fire Red with Pearl Midnight Black Roof and,
- Pearl Arctic White with Pearl Midnight Black Roof.
Inside the cabin, the updated Swift feels premium with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, analogue instrument cluster with MID and a multi-functional steering wheel. The exciting part about this new infotainment system is that it now supports navigation, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
For occupants, it will be available with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking camera with sensors and ESP alongside hill-hold function.
Powering the latest Maruti Suzuki Swift is a sole 1.2-litre K Series DualJet petrol engine. Output produced by the same unit stands at 88.50BHP @ 6,000 RPM and 113Nm of peak torque @ 4,440 RPM while being mated to a 5-speed manual or an automatic gearbox.
According to the manufacturer, the claimed mileage of the new Swift stands at 23.30kmpl (MT) and 23.76 (AT) gearbox. Just to note, these figures may slightly differ in the real world.
