Toyota Hilux

To begin with, Hilux is going to be available in two different variants, namely – Standard and High. The difference between both the variants are massive and therefore, let’s take each one of them separately.

The Standard model will be available with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Also, to let the upcoming owners to customise it, Toyota has decided to offer it in two different shades, including Metallic Grey and Super White. Feature-wise, it will be getting halogen headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lamps, cooled glove box, drive modes, power windows and manual AC to name a few.

Unlike the Standard trim, the top-end High variant will get four different exterior shades including Emotional Red, Silver Metallic, White Pearl Crystal Shine and Metallic Grey. For an upmarket feel, the carmaker has loaded it with LED headlamps, massive 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control and leather seats to offer you an unmatched experience.

Engine & Powertrain

According to Toyota, Hilux will be using the same 2.8-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that is already available on the Fortuner. Surprisingly, with the exact same tuning, this engine propels a massive 204PS and 420Nm while being teamed to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

There’s even an automatic gearbox available on the top-end variant where this engine churns out a massive 500Nm. To make it capable on tough terrains, Toyota is strictly offering a four-wheel-drive system as standard.
