After the launch of the rebadged Maruti Suzuki Baleno as the Toyota Glanza, Toyota is ready to launch the Toyota Urban Cruiser. The Urban Cruiser is a rebadged  Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser will be introduced as the entry-level SUV for Toyota. The sub-4-meter SUV to be launched at the end of October or beginning of the November.

However, the same engine which powers the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza will be powering the all-new Toyota Urban Cruiser. Powered by a 1.5L petrol engine that produces around 105BHP of power and 138Nm of torque. The engine is mated with a 5-speed manual gearbox as well as a 4-speed torque converter exactly as the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.

The claimed mileage for the same engine as per the ARAI is 18.7kmpl for the mild hybrid. Meanwhile, the non-hybrid returns an average of around 17.03kmpl.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser to equipped with a 7-inch infotainment system with Apple Car Play & Android Auto. However, many other features such as the steering mounted audio control, cruise control, push-button start, dual airbags, keyless entry, ABS with EBD, integrated LED DRL, etc. are to be offered.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser to be priced around 8 lakh onwards. Hence, it will be ₹65,000 costlier than the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Btrezza.

Toyota to work upon the alloy wheels, taillamps, and the interior to differentiate it from the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. However, the sales of Toyota has always been high because of the 3 pillars. The maintenance servicing, roadside assistance, and the warranty provided by the company are the main reason for the increase in sales of Toyota.

Toyota Urban Cruiser to rival the upcoming Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, and the Renault Kiger. Meanwhile, the established sub 4-metre SUV such as the Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport, and Tata Nexon will be the tuff competitors to the Toyota Urban Cruiser.
