Toyota first launched the Urban Cruiser Hyryder back in 2022 with a motive to reach the audience who want to upgrade from a sub-four meter SUV. Sounds logical but it is clear that the Urban Cruiser Hyryder is based on the newly introduced Grand Vitara. The point is as soon as Maruti Suzuki updated its lineup with a CNG kit, even Toyota had to react in a similar manner to give its competitors a cutthroat competition.

Recently, the all-new Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG has been introduced in India with a price tag starting at Rs.15.29 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) and if you are someone planning to buy this new SUV, here are all the details related to it down below.

HIGHLIGHTS:

On the outside, the SUV remains more or less similar to the regular variant. A set of 17-inch alloy wheels, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, connected car tech and 6 airbags are some notable features to be precise.

Under the hood, even the CNG-powered compact SUV is available with a 1.5-litre K-Series naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine.

So basically, this new version of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder can run in both Petrol and CNG modes. The only detail to remember about this flexibility is the overall output. When the SUV runs on Petrol mode this same motor produces 100.61PS and 136Nm.

However, as soon as the CNG mode is turned on, the power figures fall to 87.83PS and 131.5Nm, ultimately resulting in a fuel efficiency of 26.6km/kg.

The entire setup runs in conjunction with a 5-speed manual gearbox and no automatic transmission is available for sale.
