RP stands for ‘Race Performance’ and this new range of motorcycles are now expected to rule the Indian streets. The brand just to celebrate its rich heritage has recently launched the all-new TVS Apache RTR 165 RP with a price tag starting at Rs. 1.45 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). Interestingly, only 200 units will be available in total and therefore, we suggest you take a look at this all-new bike without wasting any further time.

HIGHLIGHTS:

TVS Apache RTR 165 RP

Full marks to the design team for introducing a sporty livery. Other changes in the form of a new seat cover and red alloy wheels also help in improving the overall look. Feature-wise, it will remain more or less similar to the standard variant and therefore, expect it to come equipped with LED lighting, a fully digital rider’s display and a wide handlebar for added practicality.

The bike manufacturer not wanting to play much with the hardware part will still offer a disc brake on either end. Thankfully, the rider’s safety is still assured with the help of a single-channel ABS. Apart from this, it will get a suspension setup sourced from Showa.

Powering it will be a 164.9cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine known for propelling a massive 19.2PS and 14.2Nm of peak torque. According to TVS Motor Company, several tweaks have been made just to extract more performance. Surprisingly, the new cylinder heads and bigger valves also work in conjunction with each other to help this bike attain a top speed of 123kmph.

For transmission duties, this setup is available with a 5-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch as standard equipment.

Alternatives

In India, the all-new TVS Apache RTR 165 RP will compete against Honda X Blade, Bajaj Pulsar NS160 and Hero Xtreme 160R. Planning to enter this segment? Check out all the details related to it down below.

Bajaj Pulsar NS160

NS160 is one of the most practical Pulsar from the entire range. However, the design language of this bike now feels dated when compared to other rivals. Coming back to the core, it comes powered by a 160.3cc single-cylinder engine that churns out a decent 17.2PS and 14.6Nm while being paired to a 5-speed gearbox. Talking about the features, Bajaj has loaded it with a semi-digital instrument cluster, halogen headlamp and single-channel ABS to name a few. Check out more details related to Pulsar NS160 here.
