Entry of a lesser-known brand is always baffling for customers. For reference, we as a buyer always try to go for things that are known to us. The reason being, they are less likely to cause problems in future. On top of that, they are available with a decent after-sales service, easy parts availability and sometimes brand warranty as well.
To start with, CFMoto is returning back to India with an updated lineup that will be compliant with the BS6 emission norms. Earlier, the Chinese bike manufacturer has introduced the 300NK. 2021 CFMoto 650NK
Design-wise, the upcoming CFMoto 650NK looks absolutely stunning. Interestingly, Kiska, which is also known for designing the latest KTM motorcycles are also accountable for designing even the CFMoto bikes. to start with, the all-new 650NK comes with a sculpted fuel tank, LED headlight, underbelly exhaust and sporty fuel tank extensions.
In terms of features, it will get a 5.0-inch coloured TFT display, all-LED lighting setup and backlit switches on the handlebar.
Based on the steel Trellis platform, it will be available with USD forks up front. Meanwhile, at the rear, the updated bike will continue to run on a monoshock unit. Braking duties on the all-new CFMoto 650NK will be handled by disc brakes on both ends. But, for enhanced safety, it will be available with dual-channel ABS.
The Chinese bike manufacturer has not revealed any details regarding its powertrain yet. However, it will now be available with a 649.3cc which will comply with the latest emission norms. Earlier, this same unit used to produce 60BHP of power alongside a peak torque of 56Nm. Also, this engine conventionally comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
CFMoto has recently teased the updated bike. But the exact date of launch is not out yet. According to the sources, it will land in India by the end of this month only.
Alternatives
After the launch, CFMoto 650NK will go head-on against the likes of Triumph Trident 660, Honda CB650R and Kawasaki Z650. But, for now, just take a look at its prime rival, the Kawasaki Z650.
Kawasaki Z650
Kawasaki Z650 was the first bike in its segment to get the BS6 updates. The Japanese bike manufacturer launched it in the first quarter of this year. For now, the updated bike comes with a 649cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. Talking in numbers, it is capable of producing 67.3BHP and 64Nm of torque. Feature-wise, this middleweight naked bike comes with all-LED lighting, smartphone connectivity, several ride modes, etc. just to name a few.
