2021 Force Gurkha
Exterior
Similar to what we have already witnessed at the Auto Expo 2020, the new Gurkha is similar to the outgoing model. Some minor updates in the form of a new grille, large side windows and bumper are there to play a differentiating factor. A new 4x4x4 badging is also new for the 2021 Force Gurkha. A new set of LED headlights further help to enhance the overall design language while improving the visibility even at night.
Interior
The introduction of a second row with captain seats that face towards the front is something every Gurkha buyer was wishing for. Force definitely listen to its customers therefore, the second row is now available with acres of legroom. Talking about the dashboard, it has been slightly reprofiled with new AC vents and a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Several additional features such as USB charging sockets, power windows, central locking and a manual AC are also there to make it practical for everyday rides.
For occupants safety, the updated Gurkha comes with dual airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Hardware
According to the brand, it now comes with enhanced ride quality. The suspension setup is obviously the older one but if talking about numbers, the new Gurkha comes with a water wading capacity of 700mm because of the availability of snorkel.
Engine
Under the hood, the all-new Gurkha comes with a Mercedes-sourced 2.6-litre four-cylinder diesel engine which is now compliant with the latest emission norms. The overall output from this unit is rated at 90BHP and 260Nm while being paired to a sole 5-speed manual gearbox. Since it is only available with a single and fully-loaded variant, therefore, expect it to come with a 4WD system as standard. Also, there are manually locking differentials that make the new Gurkha, a truly capable SUV even on the toughest terrains.
