Volkswagen has revealed the BS6 compliant Polo AT as well as the Vento AT. The BS6 Volkswagen Polo AT will come with a price tag of ₹9.67 lakh. Meanwhile, the Volkswagen Vento AT will be priced at ₹12.99 lakh. However, both the automatic variants will be the top variant for the Polo and Vento trim. The company will start delivering the BS6 Volkswagen Polo AT and Vento AT by 15th September 2020.

Both the BS6 Polo and Vento will come with a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine that produces 110PS of power along with a peak torque of 175Nm. Meanwhile, the all-new 6-speed torque converter replaces the earlier 7-speed DSG gearbox for transmission duties. The top-spec Volkswagen Polo with automatic transmission will be the new Polo GT TSI. Meanwhile, the Highline Plus trim with automatic transmission will be the top-spec variant for Volkswagen Vento.

The BS6 Volkswagen Polo will offer features such as the dual airbags, black OVRMs, rain-sensing wipers, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 16-inch alloy wheels, flat-bottom steering and many more. Meanwhile, being the GT TSI variant the automatic variant also comes with the GTI inspired seats, black rear spoiler and the GT TSI badging.

Likewise, the Vento Highline Plus AT gets 4-airbags along with ABS and EBD, speed alert system, semi-digital instrument cluster, LED headlamps, rear AC vents and similar other features.

The Volkswagen Polo GT TSI returns a mileage of 16.47 kmpl. Meanwhile, the Volkswagen Vento AT returns a mileage of 16.35 kmpl. All the figures regarding the mileage are claimed by the ARAI.

The bookings for the Volkswagen Polo and Vento AT starts today.

The Director of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, Steffen Knapp however, said, “With the introduction of the automatic variant, we are making our carlines more accessible for the Indian customers. The smooth gearshift makes it perfect for the Indian driving conditions. The AT transmission also reduces the overall maintenance cost and positively enhances our total cost of ownership (TCO) experience.”
