Volkswagen has recently launched its connected car feature known as the “My Volkswagen Connect” in India. However, initially, this feature will only be available with the Volkswagen Polo GT TSI and Vento Highline Plus models.

As per the company, this application brings effortless safety to the car owner with features such as towing alert, real-time location, SOS call, geo-fencing and many others. However, the My Volkswagen Connect App can be used by plugging a dongle into the OBD port, after which the car owner can access the information via a smartphone.

With the all-new “My Volkswagen Connected” car tech feature, owners of the car can analyse their driving pattern, acceleration and RPM, braking behavior, coolant temperature, etc. Meanwhile, it can also be used to reach out to the customer care executive or for roadside assistance as well in case of emergency. Other than this, the documents of the car such as the Registration Certificate can also be uploaded on the app.

Volkswagen lineup in India includes the Polo, Vento, T-Roc and Tiguan All-Space. However, the company will soon launch its compact SUV in India.
