Volkswagen has finally launched the ‘Turbo Edition’ of Polo and Vento with a price tag of Rs.6.99 Lakh and Rs.8.69 Lakh (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. So what all changes can we expect on both the cars? The all-new range remains the same mechanically. However, there are certain cosmetic updates on both cars that make them look sportier than ever.

Both, the Volkswagen Polo Turbo Edition and Vento Turbo Edition come powered by the same 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This motor is capable of producing a massive 110Ps of power @ 5000-5500 RPM alongside a peak torque of 175Nm @ 1750-4000 RPM. Further, it will be available with a 6-speed manual gearbox on the Turbo editions.
Additional Features
Starting with the Polo Turbo, it gets 15-inch ‘RAZOR’ alloy wheels, automatic climate control, sportier steering wheel, etc. among others. Meanwhile, Volkswagen Vento Turbo comes equipped with cruise control, rear AC vents, automatic climate control and 15-inch ‘LINAS’ diamond-cut alloy wheels.
In terms of design, both the cars will be available with a gloss black spoiler, ‘Turbo’ badge on the front fender and gloss black wing mirrors among others. Also, these special edition variants get a ‘Turbo’ badge on the seat cover as well.
Bookings for the all-new Volkswagen Polo Turbo and Vento Turbo are now open. Meanwhile, for that, customers can book the car via the official website or visit the nearest dealership. Also, Polo is now one of the most affordable hatchbacks in India that gets a turbocharged engine.

Many carmakers have recently introduced a separate turbocharged trim for their hatchbacks. For instance, Tata has recently launched the all-new Tata Altroz iTurbo with a starting price tag of Rs.7.74 Lakhs. Meanwhile, the base variant of the Hyundai i20 costs somewhere around Rs.8.80 Lakh.
