T-Roc has always been a good-looking SUV and when we talk about the update that Volkswagen has recently brought definitely makes it a complete package. 2022 Volkswagen T-Roc
For starters, the all-new T-Roc now features a comprehensive update at the front. A new set of LED headlights, new grille, re-profiled bumper, long fog lamps and wide air intake has been added to improve the overall look. The brand even claims that the top-end variants will now come with matrix LED headlamps. Talking about the rear section, it gets a new pair of LED taillamps with a new bumper as standard. Volkswagen T-Roc has also received a major update in the form of alloy wheels ranging between 16 to 19-inches.
Remember the new Polo? The same layout inside the cabin is now a part of the new T-Roc as well. The multifunctional steering wheel has been revised and is now available with an 8-inch fully digital instrument cluster. Other than this two different sized touchscreen infotainment systems are also there depending upon the variant.
For the first time, Volkswagen has decided to offer IQ.Drive Travel Assist technology on the T-Roc. To be very specific, this package comes with several safety aids including lane assist and cruise control among others.
Globally, it is available with three powertrains including a 1.0-litre TSI, a 1.5-litre TSI and a 2.0-litre TSI engine. Coming to the Indian market, we expect it to arrive with a sole 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged unit with overall output rated at 150PS and 250Nm of torque. Transmission duties for this setup are managed by a sole 7-speed DSG gearbox with power channelled to front wheels only.

Globally, T-Roc is available with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with an AWD system. However, in India, the German marque will be introducing it with a 1.5-litre unit. Well, this way, the mid-spec variants of Jeep Compass with a 1.4-litre turbocharged engine will be competing with the upcoming T-Roc.
