Volkswagen is back again with the 2021 Volkswagen T-Roc in India. The company has priced the relaunched SUV at Rs.21.35 Lakhs (ex-showroom). Further, this is the introductory price offer and will be available for a limited period of time. The all-new Volkswagen T-Roc will be coming to India via the CBU route while the company has already started accepting bookings for the same against a token amount of Rs.51,000.

2021 Volkswagen T-RocĀ 

Not much has changed on the all-new Volkswagen T-Roc. However, the company has now introduced multiple color schemes including Deep Black, Ravenna Blue, Energetic Orange, Kurkuma Yellow, Indium Grey and Pure White on the updated SUV.

Further, feature-wise, the 2021 Volkswagen T-Roc will still get the LED headlamps and taillamps, 17-inch ‘Mayfield’ diamond-cut alloy wheels and front as well as rear parking sensors among others. Meanwhile, inside the cabin, it will get an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, two-zone climate control, heat-insulated windscreen and an all-digital instrument cluster. For enhanced safety, there are 6-airbags, tyre pressure monitoring systems, ABS, ESC, etc.

The engine that powers the 2021 Volkswagen T-Roc is the same 1.5-litre TSI EVO petrol unit. It is capable of producing 150PS of power @ 5000-6000 RPM and 250Nm of peak torque @ 1500-3500 RPM. Further, this powerful engine comes mated to a 7-speed automatic DSG transmission.

In India, the all-new Volkswagen T-Roc will be competing against the likes of Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Compass. Interestingly, both SUVs are available with a 4WD powertrain. Meanwhile, Volkswagen T-Roc is the only one in the segment that misses out on this feature.

Jeep has recently launched the updated Jeep Compass in India at Rs.16.99 Lakh onwards (ex-showroom, Delhi). The all-new Jeep Compass now gets subtle exterior updates. Meanwhile, with a revamped interior, the updated SUV now feels like a whole new world from inside. In terms of features, it is available with a 10.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch all-digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera and wireless charging pad among others.

Hyundai Tucson is one of the oldest SUVs among the other two in this segment. The carmaker has recently updated Tucson and it is now available with all the modern features one can expect. Currently, the all-new Hyundai Tucson comes with a price tag of Rs.22.55 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) onwards. Meanwhile, feature-wise, it gets a new 8.0-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, electrically adjustable driver and co-driver seat, panoramic sunroof and LED headlamps to name a few.
