Volvo Cars To Cost More From 1st January 2022, Hike Up to INR 3 Lakhs To Be Witnessed

Not even a single industry remain unaffected by the pandemic and if we particularly talk about the automotive sector then, it was definitely the worst hit among all. For the coming year, almost all the carmakers are planning to introduce a revised price list citing higher input costs as the major reason. Surprisingly, Volvo Car India has joined the league and because of that, the Swedish brand has announced a hike of up to Rs.3 Lakh depending upon the model.

Volvo Cars: Revised Price

Starting with the XC40 it will receive a hike of Rs.2 Lakhs. Coming to the XC60, it will now cost a premium of Rs.1.6 Lakhs. Similarly, the XC90 and S90 will now cost Rs.1 Lakh and Rs.3 Lakhs more when compared to the older price list. Thankfully, the S60 sedan and XC90 T8 plug-in hybrid models remain untouched from this entire price hike. According to the brand, this revision will be applicable from 1st January 2022.

Jyoti Malhotra, MD, Volvo Car India while addressing the media added, “As with rest of the Indian auto industry, Volvo Car too has been impacted by rising input costs.
