Under the ‘Hassle-Free offer’ Volvo is offering the Volvo XC40 at a discount of ₹3 lakhs alongside with the accessories worth ₹1 lakh. The’Hassle-Free offer’ initiative of Volvo India aims to increase the sales of Volvo Cars while the pandemic is still going on.
Volvo XC40 is the smallest SUV in the Volvo lineup for India. The Volvo XC40 T4 R-Design is available at a price tag of ₹39.90 lakhs. However, under the ‘Hassle-Free offer’ initiative the company will lower the price of Volvo XC40 to ₹36.90 lakhs.
Meanwhile, the Volvo XC40 is equipped with radar-based active safety features like the City Safety which is first in the segment. The City Safety feature prevents collision with pedestrians, cyclists, large animals as well as other cars up to the speed of 50 kmph.
Volvo XC40 runs on a 2.0-litre, 1964cc 4 cylinder petrol engine that produces 187bhp of power and 300Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed Geartronic automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the car can go from 0-100kmph in just 8.4 seconds with a top speed of 210kmph.
The features on offer with the Volvo XC40 are the vertical touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple Carplay and inbuilt Spotify, automatic air conditioner, powered tailgate, wireless charging pad, and a 14 speaker Harman Kardon music system.
Volvo XC40 rivals the BMW X1 majorly as these two premium cars are of the same segment. However, at this price point, one can get a full-sized SUV such as the Ford Endeavour or the Toyota Fortuner.
