  • It will be powered by a 20.8PS, 249cc single-cylinder engine.

Yamaha FZ 25 MotoGP Edition

Despite being a 250cc bike, the new FZ 25 could not sell in large numbers. The primary reason behind it can be limited features and a lack of high-end performance. Also, the introduction of truly capable rivals has resulted in a downfall for the entire brand, at least for this segment. The new FZ 25 MotoGP Edition is another chance for the brand to cement its place for the quarter-litre segment. Other than the livery, there are no updates even on the special edition bike.

At the heart, Yamaha FZ 25 features a 249cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. As claimed by the brand, this motor will even power the new MotoGP variant with overall output rated at 20.8PS and 20.1Nm. The changes are only limited to cosmetic ones, therefore, expect the new bike to sport a 5-speed gearbox as standard.

Based on the diamond frame, the new bike sits on a telescopic fork at the front. Meanwhile, at the rear, Yamaha has introduced a seven-step adjustable monoshock setup which does its job decently. On either end, FZ 25 features disc brakes but for an enhanced braking experience, the BS6 compliant motorcycle comes equipped with dual-channel ABS across all variants.
