Mileage is really a big issue when it comes to scooters because of the automatic transmission they are offered with. In a comparison between a bike and a similarly displaced scooter, it is always the bike with a manual transmission that is more fuel-efficient. There’s a lot of technicality behind it which we will not be discussing. However, Yamaha has got something for you that will make the new Fascino more user friendly.

Yamaha Fascino Hybrid

The Hybrid version of the scooter was revealed last month. However, today, the brand has announced its price with some other details. First thing first, let’s start with the electric motor. To be precise, this motor will now assist the ICE and therefore, we expect the new Fascino to return a better fuel efficiency. According to Yamaha, this technology is called the Smart Motor Generator System.

At the heart, the new Fascino Hybrid will continue to come with a 125cc single-cylinder engine. The overall output from this entire setup is rated at a decent 8.2PS of power and 10.3Nm of peak torque. Talking about the features, it will get LED headlamps at the front. Also, a fully digital instrument cluster is new for the Fascino range. However, the smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth is there only for the disc variants. Coming to the side stand engine cut-off mechanism, it will be available across all variants as standard.

Several new shades have been added for the first time. To name a few, the palette consists of Cool Blue Metallic, Cyan Blue, Dark Matt Blue, Metallic Black, Suave Copper, Vivid Red and Yellow Cocktail for both variants. Surprisingly, the one with a disc brake will get two additional colours named – Matt Black Special and Vivid Red Special.
