There’s still alot of time remaining for Yamaha to launch the updated R3 in Japan. However, the Japanese bike manufacturer has revealed the 2021 Yamaha YZF R3 with multiple color schemes for motorcycle enthusiasts.
Coming to the updates, Yamaha R3 does not receive many updates. However, there are three exciting colors on offer:
• Cyan (New)
• Matte Black and (Updated)
• Purple Blue Metallic (Old)
Apart from these color options, customers can now opt for personal customization kits. However, no further cosmetic or mechanical updates can be seen on the all-new Yamaha R3.
Powering the 2021 Yamaha R3 is a Euro-5 compliant 320cc liquid-cooled motor. It churns out a maximum power of 42PS @ 10,750 RPM with a peak torque of 29Nm @ 9,000 RPM. Further, the powerful petrol engine comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
When launched in the US, the updated Yamaha R3 came with a price tag of $5,299. However, the company has priced the 2021 Yamaha R3 at JPY 6,87,500 for the Japanese market. Can we expect it to arrive in India? Yamaha has not updated the engine of the R3 as per the BS6 norms yet. However, the bike in its BS4 avatar was quite popular among the youngsters. Hence, we might expect the company to come back with the Yamaha R3 in India soon.
Further, as per the plan, Yamaha targets to sell around 3700 units of Yamaha R3 facelift in Japan.
