Amazon India, one of the leading eCommerce platform in India, has announced that it will now sell mobile SIM cards of leading telecom network operators, starting with Vodafone and Airtel.

The eCommerce platform is now offering postpaid SIM cards with bundled data plans to interested customers. In addition, customers who are traveling abroad can also purchase international SIM cards based on the area.

With this, Amazon will now deliver SIM cards of Airtel and Vodafone at your doorstep. Although Airtel is already offering doorstep delivery of SIM card, Vodafone is not yet officially offering such service. Interestingly, Amazon promises to delivery SIM card for free that too within 24 hours.

Currently, four Airtel myPlan Infinity postpaid plans of ₹499, ₹799, ₹1199, and ₹1599 are listed online, and Vodafone’s RED postpaid plans of ₹499, ₹699, ₹999, ₹1699, ₹1999, and ₹2999 are listed.

While purchasing Airtel postpaid connection, Amazon is asking for ₹200 as a security deposit, while Vodafone’s new postpaid connection costs ₹15.

As said, Amazon also listed a few international SIM cards on Lycamobile network. International SIM cards offered on Amazon India are useful when you are traveling to countries such as the United States, UK, Italy, Portugal, Austria, Hong Kong, Australia, Europe, and Belgium.

Further, Amazon India is also offering 15% cashback for purchasing the SIM card using Amazon Pay balance. However, the minimum amount that needs to be spent in order to be eligible for the cashback is ₹500 and the maximum cashback offered is ₹300 per user.
