To popularize the fashion sale event, Amazon is going to launch 12 temporary physical stores. These stores will be launched in India’s biggest tech parks in Bengaluru, NCR, and Mumbai. In the end-of-season sale by Amazon, acknowledged brands and sellers on the platform are looking to clear their existing inventory before GST is implemented. After the imposition of GST, the taxation structure, and prices will change.
Head of Amazon’s fashion business, Arun Sirdeshmukh said, “We have tied up with the biggest tech parks in the country and these will act as activation and promotion for our sale. For our young consumers at these parks, this will be a good opportunity to step out and experience fashion at physical outlets”.
The plan behind the opening of these temporary stores is to eliminate the issues related to size, style, and color of apparel, shoes, jewellery, watches, handbags, and luggage.
In the end-of-season-sale Amazon will offer 50-80% discount on 3 lakh products across 1,500 brands, apart from lots of goodies as gifts and cash backs. While Flipkart’s subsidiaries Myntra and Jabong is leading in this segment whose sale is starting at the end of the weekend.
