Amazon has announced on Thursday that India would be a part of the global ‘Prime Day’ which is going to held on July 11. This would be the first time the annual event is going to held in India, meant exclusively for Prime members. Globally, Amazon is hosting this event for the third time. While in the US, this event was very much successful.

Amazon’s Prime is a 30-hour deal shopping event where consumers will have an exclusive access to over 30 launches from the country’s top brands, including Honor Mobile Phones, IFB, LG, Sharp, ASICS and Puma, among others. This year Prime day has been extended to 13 countries including the US, the UK, Spain, Mexico, Japan, Italy, India, Germany, France, China, Canada, Belgium and Austria.  

Due to the ‘Prime Day’, the apparel is promoting its new vertical, ‘Amazon Pay’. The members who will recharge the wallet will get extra 20 percent cashback up to ₹200. Also the prime members who shop will get assured offers worth ₹1,100 from MakeMyTrip, BookMyShow and Swiggy.com. While the customers who uses HDFC Bank debit and credit cards can avail a 15 percent cashback of up to ₹2,000 on a minimum purchase of ₹5,000.
Prime Day will start early on Amazon Prime Video with a stream-fest. Six latest Indian and International blockbusters will be launched over six days, starting July 5.
