Amazon India today declared that it has opened 20,000 new seasonal job openings in its customer service domain in India. These fresh job prospects are available in 11 cities across the country, which includes Hyderabad, Pune, Coimbatore, Noida, Kolkata, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Mangalore, Indore, Bhopal and Lucknow.
Amazon announces that most of the positions are part of its Virtual Customer Service program, which means employees will receive flexible working hours along with the feasibility to work-from-home. As a part of their roles and responsibilities, associates will have to make sure to fulfil customer needs and deliver personalised, odd experiences that customers enjoy through various mediums including email, chat, social media and over the phone.
Almost anyone can apply for Amazon’s new positions. However, the minimum eligibility criteria pertains an educational qualification of 12th along with a proficiency in the either of the languages like English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu or Kannada.
While the 20,000 new job openings are for seasonal opportunities, which also means they offer a short-term position in the company, Amazon says that these temporary positions can convert into a permanent position as well by the end of the year based on a candidate’s good performance and the company’s business needs.
