Check Sales Reports Of TVS Motors, Hyundai, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto For July 2022 Here!

1. TVS Motor Company

TVS Motor Company sold 314,639 units in July 2022, up 13% from 278,855 units in July 2021. The two-wheeler division of TVS registered a growth of 14% in July 2022, with sales growing to 299,658 units from 262,728 units in July 2021. 

Of these, domestic two-wheelers saw a rise of 15% in sales, from 175,169 units in July 2021 to 201,942 units in July 2022.

The Motorcycle segment expanded 8% with sales growing from 138,772 units in July 2021 to 150,340 units in July 2022. Scooter sales grew 49.3%, from 73,811 units in July 2021 to 110,196 units in July 2022. Three-wheelers division reported sales of 14,981 units in July 2022 against sales of 16,127 units in July 2021.

The new versions of the TVS iQube electric scooter reported sales of 6,304 units in July 2022, up from monthly average sales of 2,908 units in Q1 2022.

2. Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) 

Hyundai Motor registered a 6 percent growth in sales to 63,851 units in July 2022, up from 60,249 units in July 2021. Domestic sales came in at 50,500 units in July 2022, up 5.1 percent from 48,042 units in July 2021.

Exports shot up by 9.4 percent to 13,351 units from 12,207 units in the year-ago month. 

 3. Ashok Leyland

Commercial vehicle manufacturer– Ashok Leyland reported the total vehicle sales, including exports, at 13,625 units in July 2022, up 58 percent year-on-year from 8,650 vehicles in the corresponding month last year.

Sales in the Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicles (M&HCV) segment, comprising trucks and buses, increased 113 percent to 8,148 units from 3,822 units sold in July 2021.

The Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) segment sales jumped 13 percent to 5,477 units in July this year, from 4,828 vehicles a year ago.

Total domestic sales (M&HCV+LCV) were 12,715 units in July 2022, up 56 percent from 8,129 units in July 2021.

4. Tata Motors

Tata Motors’ total sales grew 51.12 percent to 81,790 units in July 2022, on the back of extraordinary performance by passenger vehicles in the domestic market.

A total of 54,119 units were sold in domestic and international markets in July last year.

Total sales of Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicles (M&HCV) in the domestic and international market stood at 12,974 units compared to 8,749 units in July 2021. 

5. Bajaj Auto

Bajaj Auto posted a 5 percent dip in total two-wheeler sales to 3,15,054 units in July 2022, from 3,30,569 two-wheelers in July last year.

Domestic two-wheelers sales jumped to 1,64,384 units in July 2022, up 5 percent from 1,56,232 units the year ago. Exports stood at 1,50,670 units, down 14 percent from 1,74,337 units a year ago. 

The commercial vehicles (CV) sales jumped 3 percent in July 2022 to 39,616 units over 38,547 CVs sold in domestic and international markets in July 2021. Total sales of two-wheelers and commercial vehicles declined 4 percent to 3,54,670 units in July 2022 from 3,69,116 units in July 2021. Total exports (two-wheelers and CVs) also dipped by 15 percent to 1,71,714 units in July as against 2,01,843 vehicles in July 2021.
