After a lot of buzz, GST was finally implemented on the midnight of June 30th. The official implementation took place after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Pranab Mukherjee launched the much-awaited bill in August hall of the Indian Parliament.
Ever since the date for GST implementation was announced, a lot of people started sharing their views in support as well against GST. Now that GST is implemented and there’s no way back, customers seem to have started accepting the new change in tax regime.
On the first morning after GST implementation, customers came out happily sharing the bills after paying GST for the first time. A lot of retail chains, including Big Bazaar opened at midnight for the Muhurat and customers were way too excited to be a part of this.
Let’s have a look at some of the bills, which were shared by the customers post-GST. This was a customer who had breakfast at a luxury hotel in Mysore.
Another bill is surfacing online which shows a bill without GST, as fresh fish is exempted from the tax.
